Analog CCTV Camera Installation.
The following equipment is required for installing an analog or HD camera.
1. Analog Camera

3. Digital Video Recorder (DVR)
4. CCTV Cable like Coaxial Cable
5. BNC Connectors
6. Monitor Or LCD
7. VGA or HDMI For Display
What Is an Analog Camera?
The analog camera captures video and sends it over a coaxial wire directly to a DVR (Digital
Video Recorder). The footage is then compressed, converted from analog to
digital signals by the DVR, and stored on the hard disc. Analog cameras are
frequently used in traditional CCTV cameras.
When
compared to more recent Internet protocol (IP) cameras, analog cameras can be
viewed as being older technology, yet they are still readily available.
Compared to IP cameras, analog security cameras often have a standard
definition (SD) video quality limit and need a dedicated power cord in addition
to a coaxial wire to transfer data. However, they are frequently dependable and
have long served as the foundation of video surveillance.
For many
years, analog cameras have served as the Backbone of video surveillance
systems. Millions of analog cameras are still in use today as a result.
What is DVR:
The DVR,
also referred to as a "Digital Video Recorder," is a piece of
technology that records video signals, processes them, and then stores the
results on a hard disc or USB flash drive. It also goes by the name PVR,
"Personal Video Recorder," and is slimmer than a VCR.
An electronic gadget called a digital video recorder (DVR) records video in a digital format to a disc drive, USB flash drive, SD memory card, SSD, or other local or networked mass storage device.
DVR can
collect video from a digital source or record analogue video sources locally.
Coaxial cables are used to link DVRs to analogue cameras so that they can be
accessed remotely. DVRs include more features, such as the capacity to search
through recordings for occurrences or arrange them by time and date. When
storage is full, DVRs can be set up to automatically replace older material.
Analog Camera Installation with DVR.
Phase 1:
The power
source for the camera and the DVR should be placed in the proper location. If
you plan to utilize an HDMI cable for display, keep in mind that the location
needs to be close to the monitor unit. as HMDI wire can only sustain distances
of 20 meters. So, before you complete the wiring, bear this in mind. Let's say
you need to install eight cameras. Laying the CCTV wire from the DVR to the
camera for each camera is the first step.
Phase 2:
The
"CAMERA ONLY" designated and the power cable and BNC connectors
should be connected, respectively. Twist and lock the Camera BNC connectors for
a secure connection.

wiring is finished. Drill each camera into position, then use the screws to
tighten it. The connectors to the camera side need to be tightened now. You
need to construct two connectors. One uses BNC, whereas the other uses a DC
pin. BNC pins are used for video transmission, while DC power powers the
camera. Two wires, one for video and the other for ground, are included in the
BNC pin. Connect the ground wire to the BNC's negative wire and the CCTV wire's
core to its positive wire. Connect the positive and negative wires in DC in a
manner similar to this. The picture is seen below.
Phase 3:
Go to the
DVR side now. As in step 2, tighten one BNC pin to the wire here. Now connect
the remaining wire to the power source. One positive terminal and one negative
terminal are on the power supply. Use the black wire in the negative terminal
and the red wire in the positive terminal.
Phase 4:
Connect all of the BNC pins to the DVR, then turn on the power supply and DVR. You may now watch your camera on the screen. Utilize an HDMI or VGA cable to connect your monitor to the DVR. Verify that every connection is secure and done correctly. The equipment is all turned on.
Phase 5:
It's time
to configure the camera's viewpoints. You must adjust a few settings on the
camera side. When cameras are displayed on the screen, real-time views are
provided. As a result, you must tilt or pan the cameras to change the views.
